Specialist of Ophthalmology (2002)

Doctoral course in Osaka City University, Graduate School of Medicine (1999-2002). PhD degree in 2002: with title “Hepatocyte Growth factor stimulates proliferation and migration of retinal pigment epithelial cells in vitro” (specialized with RPE cell morphology and function)

 Assistant professor in Department of Ophthalmology, Osaka City University (2003-2006)
(clinic, research, education of Ophthalmology)

Guest scientist (2006) and senior researcher (2007-2009) in eye clinic, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel. (Main works: RPE-Organ culture, RPE laser-tissue interaction)

Senior researcher (2009-2013) and Group leader (2013-present) in the Institute of Biomedical Optics (BMO), University of Lübeck. (Main topics: Laser-tissue interaction of the retinal tissues/cells, TPM-FLIM with the RPE/retina, FLIO)
